Ingredients

  • 4 portions sockeye salmon
  • 3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp spanish smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp dried cumin
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Place salmon portions into a shallow dish
  2. Combine maple syrup, paprika, cumin and sea salt in a small dish
  3. Pour over salmon fillets and roll gently to coat all skinless sides. No need to coat the side with skin on if you have one
  4. Place in refrigerator for at least an hour to marinate fish
  5. Remove fish from fridge 20 minutes before ready to cook
  6. Preheat barbecue
  7. Grill fish over medium heat till just cooked through, about 10 minutes depending on the thickness of your fillets. Adjust time as needed

Recipe Notes

Fish should just flake when a fork is inserted. Don't overcook or it will be dry and that would be a shame.
